A Desert Reset for
High-Performers and Leaders

When the noise stops, what is left of you?

3 Days The Desert Offline

This is for you if...

"You have been performing the role for so long. You forgot who you are without it."

01
You are excellent at what you do. Describing what you want for yourself has become harder.
You lead well at work. You show up well at home. But the question of what you want has become easier to avoid than to answer.
02
You are still delivering results. But you are running on habit, not on real drive.
The results are real. The feeling behind them has changed. You notice it most when things get quiet.
03
You have not been truly still in years.
Your drive keeps you moving in every area of life. But the questions you keep avoiding are getting louder.
04
You are ready to look at yourself clearly.
Without a framework making it comfortable. Just you, a serious environment, and honest reflection.

If you are looking for a holiday, a networking event, or a quick fix, this is the wrong program.

The Structure

Three numbers. One purpose.

3
Days
Long enough for the performance layer to drop. Not a workshop. Not a week.
0
Phones
No inbox. No feed. No external feedback loops. You get your attention back.
1
Question
What holds when nobody is watching? Everything else builds toward answering that.
Why the Desert

The environment where the role stops working.

The desert removes every signal that makes your title mean something. No wi-fi. No audience. No context where the role applies. It is one of the most quiet places on earth, and it has been used for this kind of work for thousands of years.

Planned location: Wadi Rum Desert, Jordan

Sample Itinerary

Three days. Three shifts.

Each day takes you one step further in. The structure is simple. The experience is not.

Day 01
Arrive. Let Go.
Morning Arrive at camp. Meet the group. No titles, no roles, no agenda.
Afternoon First desert hike. The landscape does the first part of the work.
Evening Fire circle under an open sky. Often the first truly honest conversation many leaders have had in a long time.
By the end of Day 1, most people feel something shift. The role starts to come off.
Day 02
Go Still.
Dawn Solo time in the desert. Silence. No phone, no structure, no one watching.
Morning Guided reflection session. Structured prompts that cut through the surface quickly.
Afternoon Small group dialogue. People who understand your world. The conversation goes to real places.
Evening Open reflection circle. What are you noticing? What have you been avoiding?
Day 2 is where most of the real work happens. It is designed for exactly that.
Day 03
Name What Changes.
Morning Final group session. You name what you saw about yourself over the past two days.
Midday One clear commitment. Not a plan. One honest thing that will be different when you go home.
Closing Closing circle. Brief and intentional. You leave when you are ready.
You leave with something specific and with a clarity most people only find after a crisis.
Your Facilitator

Led by Chris Kaempf.

Chris Kaempf

Chris has held top management positions across four continents, building revenue and commercial operations for both global corporations and fast-growing companies. That track record gave him direct insight into the pressure executives carry, and what it costs them over time.

Besides running Strategic RX and partnering with organizations on commercial transformation, he works with leaders on what the numbers cannot measure. He created Basecamp to bring that work into an environment where honest answers are impossible to avoid.

Common Questions

Before you apply.

When exactly is it?
Dates are confirmed directly with registered participants for Summer or Fall 2026. Once you register, Chris reaches out to coordinate timing with the group.
Is this a retreat?
Not in the usual sense. No scheduled yoga, no group therapy, no workshops. Three days in a demanding environment with structured facilitation and honest conversation.
Is this spiritual or religious?
No. The desert is an environment, not a metaphor. The work is practical and grounded. You do not need to hold any particular belief to attend.
What about my phone?
Your phone is kept in a safe, accessible place with set times each day to check urgent messages. Being offline is the point of this program, and non-essential access is kept to an absolute minimum so you can be fully present.
What does joining commit me to?
Nothing. You will receive a direct message from Chris within a few days. No automated emails. No payment is requested until you confirm your spot.
What does each day look like physically?
Desert hikes, solo time, fire circles, and small group sessions. The physical demands are moderate. The emotional demands are higher. That is the point.
